How Long Does a Producer Need to Turn a Brief Around
A question that’s asked many times, and of course, has multiple answers.
Agencies and brands often enquire as to how long the talent actually need to write, approve, film, edit and publish content.
Obviously this is always on a case by case basis and depends on the assets needed and how busy the talent is at any one time, but ideally – anything between 2 and 4 weeks (if not more where possible) is ideal.
This usually give us enough time to shuffle jobs around if needed but mainly to plan, get approval, produce content and have it reviewed without the un-necessary stress of rushing or adding details that may have been missed by talent or agency in the quickness of getting everything done in a week.
This doesn’t mean that jobs can’t be turned around quickly, we’re highly aware that clients come to agencies very late with approvals or even initial ideas and these need to be scrambled asap, we’ll do a great job but it isn’t ideal for anyone involved.
However, if you can give us a few weeks or more then you’re definitely guaranteed to get the best job possible and a far more enjoyable working experience all around.
