Working With Producers During the Pandemic and What's Best

It’s a surreal time for many involved in this industry; producers, management, brands, agencies…but is there a correct way to continue working through this period? To navigate it safely whilst taking everything into account but also minimising the risk to your campaign?

We believe it is possible to work through this, to be sensitive and also aware of the difficulties and obstacles that everyone may be facing right now. Everything from less people in an office, lesser recording capabilities for producers, what’s appropriate to post during this time and also the mental well-being of everyone involved, ensuring that there’s enough time and resources to make the process as simple as possible

We do believe working with producers right now is a great time for brands, an easy and cheaper alternative to traditional advertising, with viewers sat at home and in front of phones, laptops etc, looking for something new and different to entertain them, more so as the weeks and months go by.

However it’s of paramount importance that you’ve actually established that the campaign is appropriate to be posted in a time when many are struggling with a spectrum of different and unexpected issues caused by the pandemic, it’s about taking extra time and care in ensuring that all parties have everything they need in terms of information and lead time.

We’ve had a huge amount of requests for charity posts as well as some brand campaigns that we haven’t felt are right to proceed with until things are back to normal, with each request we’ll consider all eventualities and management, along with producers here at Sharper, will discuss the best way to move forward with any brands and agencies concerned.
